About me
Julie Asher has a distinguished career in leading initiatives and organizations toward measurable change for children, youth and families. She has committed her career to reducing inequities for children and understands the importance of starting early to improve long term opportunities.
Previously, Julie served as a Partner at New Profit, where she led a major public-private partnership, overseeing investment strategies and scaling a quality improvement initiative impacting over 100 early education programs across Massachusetts. She has held leadership roles at Silver Lining Mentoring, the Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University, and the Robin Hood Foundation. She has consistently helped to drive organizational effectiveness, policy innovation, and cross-sector collaboration.
Julie holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the Goldman School at UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Cornell University. She is an active civic leader, serving as a Commissioner for the City of Cambridge’s Human Services Commission and engaging in various advisory and leadership cohorts.
